Background
This bill makes technical corrections to the United States Code
relating to cross references, typographical errors, and stylistic matters.
The bill was prepared by the Office of the Law Revision Counsel as part
of the Office's ongoing responsibility under section 205(c) of House
Resolution No. 988, 93d Congress, as enacted into law by Public Law 93-554
(2 U.S.C. 285b), to provide revisions in titles of the Code that have been
enacted into positive law so that those titles may be kept current.
The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on February 16,
2005, and referred to the Committee on the Judiciary, which considered the
bill and reported favorably on April 19, 2005. The bill was passed by the House, without amendment, on November 16, 2005.
