§3056h. Dual eligibility

In the case of projects under this subchapter carried out jointly with programs carried out under the Job Training Partnership Act [29 U.S.C. 1501 et seq.], eligible individuals shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements of sections 203 and 204(d)(5)(A) of such Act (29 U.S.C. 1603, 1604(d)(5)(A)) that are applicable to adults. In the case of projects under this subchapter carried out jointly with programs carried out under subtitle B of title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 [29 U.S.C. 2811 et seq.], eligible individuals shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements of section 134 of such Act [29 U.S.C. 2864].

Amendment of Section

Pub. L. 105–277, div. A, §101(f) [title VIII, §405(f)(25)(D), (g)(2)(B)], Oct. 21, 1998, 112 Stat. 2681–337 , 2681-433, 2681-435, provided that, effective July 1, 2000, this section is amended by striking the matter following the section heading and inserting the following:


In the case of projects under this subchapter carried out jointly with programs carried out under subtitle B of title I of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998, eligible individuals shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements of section 134 of such Act [29 U.S.C. 2864].

Amendments

1998-Pub. L. 105–277, §101(f) [title VIII, §405(d)(33)(D)], added text and struck out former text which read as follows: "In the case of projects under this subchapter carried out jointly with programs carried out under the Job Training Partnership Act, eligible individuals shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements of sections 203 and 204(d)(5)(A) of such Act (29 U.S.C. 1603, 1604(d)(5)(A)) that are applicable to adults."

1993-Pub. L. 103–171 substituted "sections 203 and 204(d)(5)(A) of such Act (29 U.S.C. 1603, 1604(d)(5)(A))" for "section 203 of such Act (29 U.S.C. 1603)".

Effective Date of 1998 Amendment

Amendment by section 101(f) [title VIII, §405(d)(33)(D)] of Pub. L. 105–277 effective Oct. 21, 1998, and amendment by section 101(f) [title VIII, §405(f)(25)(D)] of Pub. L. 105–277 effective July 1, 2000, see section 101(f) [title VIII, §405(g)(1), (2)(B)] of Pub. L. 105–277, set out as a note under section 3502 of Title 5, Government Organization and Employees.

Effective Date
