EDITORIAL CLASSIFICATION CHANGE TABLE
This table lists changes in classification of earlier laws made in the course of classifying new laws from the 119th Congress, 1st Session.
Other changes in classification of earlier laws are made in the course of integrating the new laws into a main edition or supplement of the Code, and those changes will be accounted for in Table III (Statutes At Large) upon completion of the main edition or supplement.
Column 4 lists the statutory provision prompting the change in classification. For example, a provision set to terminate on a specific date may be amended to remove the termination date, thus making the provision permanent. Such an amendment may prompt an editorial reclassification of the provision from a note to a section.
