Repeal of Chapter

Pub. L. 103–337, div. A, title XVI, §§1629(a)(1), 1691(b)(1), Oct. 5, 1994, 108 Stat. 2963 , 3026, provided that, effective Oct. 1, 1996, this chapter, except for sections 3351 and 3352, is repealed.

Amendments

1983- Pub. L. 98–94, title X, §1015(a)(2), Sept. 24, 1983, 97 Stat. 667 , substituted "promotion of reserve commissioned officers on active duty and not on the active duty list" for "election to continue on active duty after promotion" in item 3380.

1980- Pub. L. 96–513, title V, §502(9), Dec. 12, 1980, 94 Stat. 2909 , as amended by Pub. L. 97–22, §10(a)(2)(A), July 10, 1981, 95 Stat. 136 , substituted "service credit upon original appointment" for "appointment; service credit" in item 3353, and added item 3396.

1967- Pub. L. 90–130, §1(11)(D), (F), Nov. 8, 1967, 81 Stat. 375 , 376, substituted "grade of colonel to fill vacancies" for "field grade in certain cases" in item 3370, and struck out item 3391 "Commissioned officers: officers of Army Nurse Corps, Army Medical Specialist Corps, and Women's Army Corps not to be promoted above certain grades".

1964- Pub. L. 88–647, title III, §301(6), Oct. 13, 1964, 78 Stat. 1071 , struck out item 3355 "Commissioned officers; Army Reserve: appointment; R.O.T.C. graduates".

1960- Pub. L. 86–559, §1(19), June 30, 1960, 74 Stat. 271 , substituted "declination of promotion" for "officers not assigned to units" in item 3364, and struck out "not assigned to units" after "majors" in items 3366 and 3367, and "officers not assigned to units;" before "promotion" in item 3370.

1958- Pub. L. 85–861, §1(80)(F)–(H), Sept. 2, 1958, 72 Stat. 1479 , struck out "Army Reserve" after "Commissioned officers" and inserted "status" after "United States" in item 3354, substituted "Commissioned officers" for "Female commissioned officers" and "Army Medical Specialist Corps" for "Women's Medical Corps" in item 3357, and added items 3353, 3359, 3360, 3362 to 3371, 3375, 3378, 3380, 3382 to 3386 and 3388 to 3393.
