§3357. Commissioned officers; Army Reserve: for service in Army Nurse Corps or Army Medical Specialist Corps
To be eligible for an appointment as a reserve officer for service in the Army Reserve in the Army Nurse Corps or the Army Medical Specialist Corps, a person must be at least 21 years of age.

The words "To be eligible * * * a person must be a woman at least 21 years of age" are substituted for the words "appointments of * * * may be made * * * from female * * * who have attained the age of twenty-one years". The words "in such grades and under such regulations as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Army * * * citizens of the United States * * * who possess such physical and other qualifications as may be prescribed by the Secretary of the Army", and 10:376 (proviso) are omitted as covered by section 591 of this title. The word "Section" is omitted, since section 3067 of this title establishes the Army Medical Service in the Army, and establishes its various corps as special branches of the Army; and section 3064 of this title provides that the special branches of the Army shall consist of Regular Army officers appointed therein, and other members assigned thereto by the Secretary.
