§7434. Annual report to Armed Services Committees

The Secretary shall submit to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives an annual report on the production from the naval petroleum reserves during the preceding calendar year. Each such report shall be submitted within 30 days after the end of a fiscal year.

Amendments

1990-Pub. L. 101–510 substituted "Annual report" for "Quarterly reports" in section catchline and amended text generally. Prior to amendment, text read as follows: "Within thirty days after the close of each quarter, the Secretary shall report to the Committees on Armed Services of the Senate and House of Representatives the production from the naval petroleum reserves during the preceding quarter."

1980-Pub. L. 96–513 struck out "of the Navy" after "Secretary".

1976-Pub. L. 94–258 struck out "and oil shale" after "petroleum".

1962-Pub. L. 87–796 required a report of the production from oil shale reserves.

1958-Pub. L. 85–861 substituted "Committees" for "Committee".

Change of Name

Committee on Armed Services of House of Representatives changed to Committee on National Security of House of Representatives by House Resolution No. 6, One Hundred Fourth Congress, Jan. 4, 1995.

Effective Date of 1980 Amendment

Amendment by Pub. L. 96–513 effective Dec. 12, 1980, see section 701(b)(3) of Pub. L. 96–513, set out as a note under section 101 of this title.

Effective Date of 1958 Amendment
