§2513. Annual report

The Secretary of Energy shall submit to the Congress annually a report on all activities being undertaken or carried out pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, including-

(1) such projections and estimates as may be necessary to evaluate the progress of the project and to indicate the extent to which, and the pace at which, the objectives of this chapter are being achieved; and

(2) a statement of the extent to which imported automobile chassis or components are being used, or are desirable, for the production of vehicles under section 2506 of this title, and of the extent to which restrictions imposed by law or regulation upon the importation or use of such chassis or components are impeding the achievement of the purposes of this chapter.

Each such report shall also include any recommendations which the Secretary of Energy may deem appropriate for legislation or related action which might further the purposes of this chapter.
