§60d. Officers and employees paid by Clerk of House; payment of December salary

The Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to pay to the officers and employees of the House of Representatives, including the Capitol Police and Office of Legislative Counsel, and employees paid on vouchers under authority of resolutions, their respective salaries for the month of December on the 20th day of that month, each year, except when the 20th of the month falls on Sunday, in which case the said salaries shall be paid on the 19th of December.

Amendments

1960-Pub. L. 86–426 struck out provisions which related to officers and employees of the Senate. See section 60c–1 of this title.

Effective Date of 1960 Amendment

Amendment by Pub. L. 86–426 effective with respect to compensation accruing on or after first day of month following April 1960, see section 3 of Pub. L. 86–426, set out as an Effective Date note under section 60c–1 of this title.

Transfer of Functions

Certain functions of Clerk of House of Representatives transferred to Director of Non-legislative and Financial Services by section 7 of House Resolution No. 423, One Hundred Second Congress, Apr. 9, 1992. Director of Non-legislative and Financial Services replaced by Chief Administrative Officer of House of Representatives by House Resolution No. 6, One Hundred Fourth Congress, Jan. 4, 1995.
