§3771. Definitions

For purposes of this subchapter:

(1) The term "veteran" has the meaning given such term by paragraph (2) of section 101.

(2) The term "homeless veteran" means a veteran who is a homeless individual.

(3) The term "homeless individual" has the meaning given such term by section 103 of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 11302).

Amendments

2000-Par. (3). Pub. L. 106–400 substituted "McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act" for "Stewart B. McKinney Homeless Assistance Act".

Subchapter effective Oct. 1, 1998, see section 602(f) of Pub. L. 105–368, set out as an Effective Date of 1998 Amendment note under section 2106 of this title.
