§6246. Authorization of appropriations

There are authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 2000 such sums as may be necessary to implement this part, to remain available only through March 31, 2000.

Amendments

2000-Pub. L. 106–469, which directed amendment of this section by striking out "for fiscal year 1997.", could not be executed because the words "for fiscal year 1997." did not appear.

1999-Pub. L. 106–64 amended section catchline and text generally. Prior to amendment, text read as follows: "There are authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 1999 such sums as may be necessary to implement this part."

1998-Pub. L. 105–177 substituted "1999" for "1997".

1996-Pub. L. 104–306 reenacted section catchline without change and amended text generally. Prior to amendment, text authorized appropriations for the Early Storage Reserve Plan and the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Plan combined with specific amounts for fiscal years ending Sept. 30, 1978, and Sept. 30, 1982.
