§1806. Chief Executive Officer for Visitor Services
(a) Establishment
There is established in the Office of the Architect of the Capitol the position of Chief Executive Officer for Visitor Services (in this section referred to as the "Chief Executive Officer"), who shall be appointed by the Architect of the Capitol.
(b) Responsibilities
The Chief Executive Officer shall be responsible for the operation and management of the Capitol Visitor Center, subject to the direction of the Architect of the Capitol. In carrying out these responsibilities, the Chief Executive Officer shall report directly to the Architect of the Capitol and shall be subject to policy review and oversight by the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate and the Committee on House Administration of the House of Representatives.
(c) Compensation
The Chief Executive Officer shall be paid at an annual rate equal to the annual rate of pay for the Chief Operating Officer of the Office of the Architect of the Capitol.
(d) Applicability
This section shall apply with respect to fiscal year 2007 and each succeeding fiscal year.
