§17n. "State" defined
As used in sections 17k and 17l of this title the term "State" shall be deemed to include Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and the District of Columbia.

Admission of Alaska and Hawaii to Statehood
